Tech Wednesday

Wi-Fi Camera Umbrella
This high-tech umbrella allows you to take pictures with a built-in camera. These can be uploaded to Flickr via a wireless internet connection and within two minutes you can watch downloaded photo-streams on your umbrella screen with a simple wrist-snapping movement.
Invented in Tokyo (where else?) the Pileus umbrella also has GPS and a digital compass, which uses Google Earth to help you navigate yourself around the world. They are working on incorparating a video camera as well.

WirePod
I have a soft spot for esthetical solutions to common eye sores..
Who wouldn't prefer this work of art instead of that ball of wires you try to hide in the corner or behind the couch?
Joris Laarman is responsible for this brilliant extension cord.

Music Tuesday

Bury The Sound
Autumn Magnets
Melbourne based 'Bury The Sound's music has been described as "elegant, cinematic songs steadfastly refuse to follow the well-trodden path of hosts of instrumental bands, weaving a rich musical tapestry that draws as much upon ’70s legends Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd as it does from contemporary masters such as Do Make Say Think and Tortoise."

Tech Wednesday

Tame
Tame is a concept that sets a status message synced with all of your devices and applications. If you’re driving or need some privacy, you can tell Tame to handle auto-responses to your phone, IM, text, Facebook, and more. You can store messages on each face, and when you need to change your status, just rotate the cube to the desired face. Besides a written message, Tame uses a red-yellow-green color coding system to let people know at a glance if they can contact you.

Movie Thursday

Conspiracy
If you're in the mood for some senseless entertainment, Val Kilmer just made this movie (straight to video) which is set in a small town where everyone seems to have secrets.. (yeah - another one of those movies..)
It does have some interesting, thought worthy connotations, but barely enough to hold up where the direction is lacking..
Judge for yourselves.
